Pixie-Bob
Breed Description

The goal of the Pixie-Bob breeding programme is to create a domestic cat with a visual similarity to that of the North American Bobcat. The wild look of the head is of particular importance, the ideal Pixie-Bob having heavy boning, prominent brows, broad muzzle and fleshy chin.

This is a cat of of substantial size, tall and rangy type, but with great depth to the body. The shoulders and hipbones are very prominent, producing a rolling gait. Tail is short, extending only to the hock and may be flexible, knotted or kinked.

Coat may be short or semi-long, brown spotted tabby, with heavy ticking and rufous colouring.

The Pixie-Bob has Interim status which will be automatically upgraded to Championship
status when a full register example of the breed is registered in New Zealand.
