The judge, in assessing any exhibit, must measure that individual exhibit against the current "Standard of Excellence" for its specified breed.

In order to do this, judges must therefore be among other things:

• Exemplary cat handlers.



• Conversant with ALL breed standards within the Breed/Type for which they
  hold a current licence.



• Willing and able to impart knowledge about the respective breeds.



• Demonstrate impartiality despite personal preferences.



• Astute and tactful in dealing with exhibitors and the public.



• Models of professional conduct, which is beyond reproach.

This is a tall order for any person, within any organization and for this, judges command our respect.
