GENERAL RULES

1. ALL kittens in a litter MUST be litter registered at the same time.

2. LITTER registration is required if ANY kitten is to be individually registered, either now or in the future.

3. You ARE NOT required to name ANY or ALL kittens in the litter at the time of LITTER REGISTRATION, but you MAY elect to do so.

4. IF the SIRE and/or DAM are CATZ Inc registered, enter their CATZ Inc. number on the form.

5. IF the SIRE and/or DAM are NOT CATZ Inc. Registered, but are registered in New Zealand, then you must supply a COPY of the sire and dams "Registration Certificate" OR "transfer" from the body with whom they are registered. A breeders COPY of their 4 generation pedigree is also required. (These may be FAXED, or scanned and EMAILED, or snail mailed).

6. IF the SIRE or DAM is IMPORTED, then a CERTIFIED 4 generation pedigree must be supplied as well as a transfer showing the applicant as owner or lessee.

WHAT YOU WILL GET BACK

7. For every kitten registered, you will receive a one A4 BLUE SHEET, which is divided into THREE perforated sections.

a) Each section will contain the kittens unique identifying number.
b) The top section is an ORIGINAL form, containing all relevant data about the kittens registration. This should be retained by the breeder in all circumstances.
c) The second section is a duplicate of the first.
d) The third section IS and APPLICATION to TRANSFER the kitten and may also be used to name the kitten at the time of transfer if it has not been named already.

HOW TO USE THE 'BLUE' SHEET

8. Retain the TOP portion always as your original copy of REGISTRATION.

9. When selling or transferring a kitten to someone else, SEND IN BOTH the SECOND & THIRD sections, which are a DUPLICATE REGISTRATION and APPLICATION TO TRANSFER. If the kitten in question has not ALREADY been NAMED, then the bottom form will have space to name the kitten at the time of TRANSFER.

10. Do the following:

a) Check that the breed, colour, pattern, gender, coat length and eye colour (if applicable), all coincide with the information on the form.
b) Complete the TRANSFER with new owner details and SIGN IT.
c) GIVE the transfer to the new owner to send to CATZ Inc with the $5 transfer fee OR do this for them.
d) If allowing the purchaser to NAME the kitten themselves, please give clear guidelines or seek confirmation from them of suggested names to ensure that names are not inadvertently duplicated or that they plan to use a name you have reserved for yourself.
